V-22 Osprey lands at Marion

A brief trip to the Marion airport last week was timely as I got to watch a V-22 Osprey approach, land, refuel, and take off again.  The aircraft was on it’s way from a maintenance shop on the west coast to Camp Lejeune Military base on the east coast and made a fuel stop in Marion.  You, I, we, purchased 1200 gallon of Jet A for it’s next leg of the flight.  That was the first V-22 I’ve seen live and in person and it is a quite large and impressive aircraft.  I’m always impressed by the caliber of the young men and woman flying our military aircraft today.  I thank them for their service every chance I get.  Photos by Aaron Ferguson  aaroncap97@gmail.com
