First solo flight 1957 in a Mooney M20A, private pilot in 1961. I grew up around airports and airplanes as my father was an Army Air Corp instructor, FBO operator, and private pilot who owned 16 different aircraft and logged 23,000 hours of flight time. He invented “True Airspeed” instrument marketed by Alcor for a number of years.
I owned a Mooney M20C from 1997 to 2012; 800 total time in a Mooney; 2013 bought a Rans S6ES Coyote II with a Rotax 582; two years later I traded the S6SE for an S6S with a Rotax 912UL 80 hp engine. My total flight time is 1,200 hours.
