Angelina Kapp thanked the chapter for helping with her aviation education
Larry Flesner talked about the upcoming KR gathering in Mt. Vernon . Larry suggested you fly to Mt. Vernon for breakfast, then head over to the Sparta Aero Flight Fest.
Bill Hunter told us about the great progress that our first Ray Aviation Scholarship Fund winner, Ben Morris, is making. Ben is already working on his commercial ticket! Maggie-ann Bathgate is right behind him. Bill also talked about the future of the Ray Scholarship and direction the chapter may take. Bill also announced that it was time to turn the reins over to someone else.
Donny Lucy shared some spectacular photos from the right seat, with his new employer Compass Airlines.
Dave Warner shared results from his recent fly-out survey. My takeaway was that most folks seemed to be in favor of a once-a-month fly-out, to some place under 150 miles, but he didn’t specify statute or nautical. Dave will continue to work on this project. Let’s keep ’em flying!
El Presidente Don Morris gave a dynamic presentation titled “I Pronounce You Aircraft”, about the steps to receiving that precious Airworthiness Certificate.
Snacks were provided by Scott & Brent Hartwig.
