May Meeting Notes

Bill Hunter presented the EAA’s Ray Foundation award to Ben Morris. Congratulations! We are looking forward to your progress reports.

Mike Fleming gave an excellent presentation on the basics of composite materials and methods. There were lots of good questions and answers. Sam showed some samples of the epoxy wipe method used in preparing the finished surface for paint. Here is a link to his video on the subject.

The EAA’s B-17 will be here on June Tuesday, 4th. They are booking flights now. Scott Hartwig is overseeing the event and is looking for volunteers. . The aircraft will arrive the afternoon before and will depart for Champaign, IL on Wednesday morning. The aircraft will be open to the public only on that Tuesday.

We are looking for suggestions for fly-out destinations.
