October Meeting Notes
Congratulations to high school senior Maggie-ann Bathgate on getting her private ticket. With the support of Chapter 277, some anonymous donors, and her own perseverance she blasted through the whole thing. Maggie celebrated by giving her mom and dad, who had never ridden in a GA aircraft, rides in the C-152.
October’s program was James Mckee, a Lambert FAA traffic controller who shared the ins and outs about being a controller at EAA AirVenture. It was really interesting and nice to learn a bit about the behind scenes at OSH.
To celebrate two students getting their Private Pilot’s ticket this year, the Hartwigs will be hosting coffee & doughnuts on Saturday November 2nd, 8:00-11:00. Fly in or drive in to Hurst International.
Since Pete Polete wasn’t at the meeting, he was appointed to run the search committee for next year’s officers. If you would be interested in serving as Prez, V.P., Secretary, Treasurer, Web administrator or just as a member-at-large, contact Pete.
The Christmas party will be held Sunday December 15. The chapter will provide the main dish, pot luck is always appreciated. Dinner starts at 1:00, so best to get there a little before hand to get your pot luck dish placed in a prominent position.
